*sets off firecrackers*

Happy Chinese New Year!

May you get lots of ang pows and eat oranges until you have so much vitamin C that you'll never fall sick again!

There is always the Chinese New Year atmosphere (as opposed to the lack of a Christmas atmosphere just last month) because I guess it's the only festival I actually celebrate (the other holiday being National Day). All the CNY goodies and ang pows and half-finished glasses of F&N Orange, and Channel 8 on TV all through the day, and the sad vase of pussy willow (only yesterday spruced up with those red and gold dangly things), and being woken by lion dancing opposite the road... It's cool to be Chinese, just to celebrate CNY. ^_^

Ahahaha.

My mum just asked me if I was going vegetarian for the day (cos it's the 1st of the lunar month lah) lol. I'm like "..." then she goes "sek zai la! (eat vegetarian lah)"... then she goes "if you want to go vegetarian eat these two dishes now if you don't want then you got more to eat".

LAWL.

No offense.. But CNY Channel 8 has always been boring, imo. I switched channel the first chance I had at my Grandma's house...and ended up watching Armageddon on HBO. And I prefer Christmas to CNY. But that's just me. :p Happy new year.
