Today was great. I went to the museum for greeter duty with Pauline, who's lovely, and I learned from her how to actually go up to visitors and offer to tell them about the museum and how to get around and all that. It was quite fantastic because it's wonderful when the visitors readily listen to you and go all like "ooh" and "wow" and "uh huh" and "that's lovely" when you tell them stuff, and then smile and thank you and look like they're really going to enjoy their visit. Smashing.

I could have left at 4, but I stayed on because I didn't feel like going home, and after 4 was when things got eventful. I guided the Kebaya exhibition twice. The first one was because this guy came up to me and said "we couldn't find the kebaya exhibition! Is it still there? Did it disappear?" and I offered to take him and his friend up to the exhibition and ended up running through everything there. When I got down after their tour this lady came up to me and asked where the kebaya exhibition was so I took her up again, and this time Pauline came along too. Turns out she came yesterday and actually attended my dad's tour and said he and his buddy guide were experts. My dad was well pleased when I told him this. I took her through the whole exhibition too. Then later another guy came up to me and said there was a mistake in one of the flipbooks, so I took note of that too and wrote it down in the communications notebook.

Oh oh and one of the visitors (an old indian lady) said my skirt was nice. =D

Cool day. I love being at the museum.
