Tropix

This is such a pretty game!

Basically you are this monkey, and you have to play games to earn sand dollars. You start on this island called Outset Island. When you earn enough, you can buy items for food (fruit trees, minibars...), fun (scuba gear, beach balls, fireworks...), and comfort (grass, beach chairs, your own island bungalow...). You can arrange and decorate your island and make it pretty. When you fill up the food, fun and comfort levels for that island, you unlock a new game.

You can also buy new islands when you earn enough sand dollars, and fill up the food, fun and comfort levels for them too to unlock new games.

There's even a screensaver which shows your monkey and this irritating crab that doesn't do much playing on whatever islands you have, however you decorated it.

The following pictures (well, only the fullscreened ones) have been painstakingly screenshot because I have to keep waiting for the right moment to printscreen and then it will disappear cos it's a screensaver.

This is my first island! Look what I named it. ;D

It isn't very big, but the fishing is fun.

The irritating crab hides among the flowers. Monkey wonders what's so interesting there.

Monkey looks out to sea on a huge statue thing.

This is Brandy Beach. ;D

That's a crab, parasailing. And yes, the sandcastle is in the sea. ;D

Monkey having A Cold One.

Monkey and Crab feasting on pineapples in the sea. A Cold One has just appeared on the minibar in the foreground.

More pineapple-in-the-sea goodness.

If you click the ginger plant (that thing in front of the minibar with red flowers), ladybugs fly out. Mr Crab is totally WTF'd.

Relaxing after all that fun in the sun!

This is Tequila Sunrise, my favourite island.

There are fireflies, tiki torches, and bonfires, all against a beautiful backdrop.

There's food...

... and there's drink.

Play with the fireflies...

... and climb a starfruit tree!

I want my very own Bungalow On An Island too!

This is Yong Guo Dao. It is supposed to be Chinese for something something Island. It's got dragonflies and lots of bamboo. Very Zen.

Those sticks there that look like incense are firework rockets!

Bamboo and purple mountains.

If you click the orchids, dragonflies come out.

Monkey puts on his Chinese thinking hat and contemplates life.

Light some fireworks...

... and celebrate enlightenment!

There is one final island...

But I haven't earned quite enough to buy it yet. When I do I'll share it with you!

In other news, my Brand New stick of mascara has probably dropped out of my Bag With A Hole. I had only used it once, and it was when I was wearing glasses. It was really good mascara too! *upset*
