while waiting for lunch...

Let's talk about yesterday's lunch!

So we had potatoes left over from Valentine's day, right, so I decided to make potatoes with my instant noodles. ^_^ I decided to do that after I'd set the water to boil, so I was trying to peel the potato as fast as possible because after a while, the water was bubbling in the background.

Okay, so this was my impromptu Hohsei Instant Noodle Recipe:

1. Put some water in a pot and boil.
2. Peel potato quickly.
3. Pour more water into pot because everything is starting to evaporate.
4. Chop potato up into chunks. Quickly. (Who cares if they're even chunks or not; you're just going to eat it anyway)
5. Put chunks into water.
5a. Remember to put salt in water.
6. Wait long long. In the meantime, pick up phone because Andrea called, and say OKAY I WILL MEET YOU AT 5 AND WE WILL GET THE JOB.
7. When potato chunks are soft and edible, scoop them out into bowl.
8. Throw pack of instant noodles into remaining boiling water.
9. Poke instant noodles around a bit.
9a. Remember to add more salt to water.
10. Take out a slice of Chesdale cheese and tear it into four.
11. Place slices over potatoes-in-a-bowl.
12. Poke instant noodles around a bit.
13. Put margarine in potatoes. This does wonders.
14. Microwave the cheesy margarined potato goodness.
15. When instant noodles are soft and springy, poke them around until the microwaved potatoes are ready, and then transfer the noodles into the bowl.
16. Now we will use the remaining water to make the sauce!
17. Pour a generous amount of tomato ketchup into the pot.
18. Add a bit of chilli sauce.
19. Stir and mix and let it boil.
20. In a small bowl, put some corn flour and add a bit of water so you get this corn flour mixture thing.
21. Pour the corn flour thing into the pot and stir.
22. Taste sauce. It will be TOO SALTY.
23. Decide to add egg.
24. Take out egg from the fridge and crack it into pot.
25. On hindsight, perhaps should have beat the egg first.
26. Stir.
27. When sauce is nice and thick and bubbly (because it's boiling), turn off the fire.
28. Pour sauce over instant noodles over cheese over potatoes.
29. Enjoy!
30. Decide to tie up with Koka and write an Instant Noodle Cookbook, called "N00B IN THE KITCHEN!", with easy to cook recipes using easy to find ingredients, for the kids who never set foot in the kitchen cos they have three maids to do it for them.

Ok so I got a job with Andrea! ^_^ I will sell cable TV from 7pm-10pm a few weeknights, and probably on Sundays as well. It is moolah, so I am happy. =D

K LUNCH before I zip off to Council meeting.
